Céleste is a niche, artisanal fragrance house born of a self-taught, passionate perfumer's lifelong love of fragrance. Receiving my first perfume at the tender age of 7 years old as a gift from my mother, I instantly fell in love with the whimsical world of fragrance. I couldn't get enough of smelling delicious, and by the time I reached my adolescent years, it's safe to say I had a problem. I spent all the money I had buying fragranced products — from cheaper, cloying drugstore sprays to high-end, branded perfumes and niche blends crafted by independent makers within handmade marketplaces. My personal love of the product inevitably led to a burning curiosity about the craftsmanship behind it, and there began my journey as a self-taught olfactive artist.

Being born with very sensitive skin, fragile sinuses and a myriad of chronic immune conditions that only seemed to get exponentially worse as I got older, I simply couldn't use many of the fragrances I loved without an adverse reaction. As a result of this, I began my studies in how to formulate fragranced products effectively and safely; first experimenting with simple body care products using premade fragrance oils and later delving into the craft of custom fragrance development, creating my very own perfume blends from scratch using the finest raw materials. After practicing for some years and receiving excellent feedback from my small group of tester clients, I decided to bring my creations to market, and Céleste came to fruition.

I believe that smell is the most powerful sense we have, it adds so much color and flavor to life, and it's an integral part of our memory and recollection system. Fragrance is more than an aesthetic product to me... it brings people together, emboldens the spirit and enlivens the senses. I seek to capture the depth of what aromatherapy means to me in my blends, and I hope you're able to find your signature scent in one of my creations. As you apply your favorite fragrance each day, remember to take a moment to savor it. One day, the recollection of that signature scent will be one of the few vivid memories you have left of a life well-lived.
